About this deal

There is a nice simple custom function menu, with numerous options available. The Alternate firing and Mask functions being nice new features. I'm under the impression you aren't a working pro. There's no getting through to you, so I'll post for the people who read this so they won't get swayed by your misinformation. The recentR2 Pro / Xprotransmitters have provided abig improvement in the system, with a very userfriendly interface. And even more refined transmitter options are on the way.

Very consistent, and the slight change in decimal point is more likely down to the subtle movement of the meter during the test. Pretty much bang on. Having a battery powered flash not only removes the need for AC Power Outputs and wasting time trying to find the outlets (if there even are any available), but also eliminates the tripping hazard of cables on set. To learn more about the difference between these two flashes, as well as the pros and cons of this flash, read our AD200 vs AD200 Pro comparison blog.

Cons

With the new Stable Colour Temperature Mode, the Godox AD600 Pro will maintain colour temperature at 5600K with a variation of just 75K across the entire power output range, allowing extreme colour temperature stability. When the AD-360 came out it was the Quantum-killer I had anticipated as I could see the rapidly improving Chinese manufacturers moving into previously unassailable strongholds.

Some photographers will see the extra battery power as a plus, while others will see the extra size and weight as a negative. Mounts With the standard reflector fitted, and the power dialled down to the lowest output possible, which is 1/256th and in standard mode, the colour meter gave us a reading of 5759k, which is within the promised +/-200k of the stated 5600k. I have to admit I was quite impressed even with the standard colour mode, particularly when the light has been dialled down to the minimum, which is where the greatest variance tends to occur. The controls are easy and clear and are displayed on the large, clear Dot-Matrix LCD panel. You can set all features with the Godox X1T, X2T and XPro triggers, which control the built in 2.4GHz Godox X System wireless receiver. Considering the impressive recycle times of the 600 PRO, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to suspect Godox may have tweaked the overall power output to allow for that (if so they wouldn’t be the first). It's a new flash tube with different properties, even if we agree it's a 'fix' it still costs money to design and implement it.Since the release of the 600 PRO, Godox and Flashpoint have released smaller 400, 300, 200, and 100Ws cordless strobes, which are all great options as well. It just depends on what will suit your own needs and budget best. And you can mix always and match lights in the system as well.
